Alas, my trip has come to an end. I have learned so much, and am definitely leaving with a deeper understanding of the Saab brand. Saab was definitely born from quite a bit more than just jets. What an amazing place. This trip has been an experience that none of us will ever forget. A shout out to Johan and Yulie for getting me there. Forever indebted. And on behalf of all of us on the trip, I wanted to give special thanks to all of our hosts who took care of us in Sweden, including (in order of appearance): Patrik, Olaf, Kenneth, KK, Per, Jean, Kent, Marie, Monika. And thanks to all the others who helped us on our many activities. Thank you Mr. helicopter driver for not crashing into the side of the mountain. Thank you Saab for not filming the whole sauna/snow/hot tub thing. Thank you to everyone who helped pick up mittens and various other items that I dropped from dogsleds, snowmobiles, and jacket pockets. And thank to my co-pilots in this adventure. I hope you all are in love with your new Saabs - perhaps we'll all meet again in a couple of years at Saab Midnight Sun European Delivery Experience! Uh, Johan -- you're gonna hafta to open that one back up for the U.S. And we have more trip ideas too! :-) Hope you all enjoyed the blog. Now, I must utgong. Skol! -Sheri

	gothenburg
Here is a pic of Gothenburg, where I spend my last night before my Friday am flight back. Olaf was kind enough to give me ride here, with nate/mike, mike/jodi, and omar/julie trailing behind as all were heading in the general direction of gothenburg. Only had a few hours to see the city, but it was a great little city. I was told it is the Boston of Sweden. The Saab marketing group works here. Wish there was more time to check it out.

It was sad to see everyone go. it was such a great group. Julie has everyone's e-mails, and we plan to keep in touch and exchange photos. (since each of us took hundreds!). And I'll send them this blog too so they can see the fruits of my constant labor on the sms-front. Me with my video camera, camera, and phone camera. I should have stamped an "L" on my forehead before I left!

it was so exciting to see everyone pick up their cars! i fllmed most of it and took pics. Everyone got a walkaround too, so I learned some good stuff for our podcasts. hey, where's my saab?

but no pics allowed, so this is all you get. the factory was very cool - and surpsingly sci-fi. lots of giant robots. reminded me of the ones from alien. also was very clean and colorful. only one factory guy would wave back to me though. tour was on a trai thing that went through.

OH. MY. GOD. how cool is this? i am in awe. this is my favorite part of thee trip. the cars in here are amazing. so many i recognize from photos we've used on the web and in saab-i. or from writing about them. i have waited almost 8 years for this day - and i am sooooo excited to be standing in front of these legendary vehicles. joe & james - i took multiple pictures of every single one. and have video of museum guide saying "welcome to the saab museum in trollhattan." bought a bunch of postcards from days of yore. am in saab heaven! will blog a couple samples!

	pickled herring
so, since i'm leaving tomorrow i realized i had to try the pickled herring. they only seem to serve it at breakfast. didn't dig it. so then tried the meatball to cleanse the palate. i put what i thoguht was the sauce on it, but that turned out to be pickled herring in cream. ok, make the fish stop. so go for the baby frank with what i thought was mustard. i kid you not, it was herring again. i guess they serve it three ways. for breakfast. i think my father would love this and put it on a sandwich with peanut butter. me, well, i will not be dining with herr herring again. but it's all good. i've loved everything else i've tried here. except the smoked eel cream, which, incidentally, was also served with breakfast.

breakfast on my last full day in sweden. tried one swedish meatball and of these little franks at breakfast. they always have the meatballs at breafast. but wait, it gets better...

	trollhättan!!
we are now in the place where saabies were born. all of them. tho we were all tired and hungry from long day of flight delays - words cannot describe how happy i was to see a sign bearing the words "trolhattättan." of course right below it was the word volvo. not sure if this is ad placement or what. and our van was a volvo too. but happily around the next corner there was a sign for saab (then dsl in the next batch) almost like the brand is a town. it was too dark to get the right picture. but we are here and i am very excited about tomorrow. mom, if you are reading - remember how i bought most of contents of petco when i got el guapo? so will be the case at the saab museum gift shop tomorrow. julie thinks i will get fired if i try to smuggle a camera into the factory tho, so that's a no go. carpaccio then halibut for dinner. julie ditched us, and forgot take pic for braden even tho olaf tried to remind me. lost nothing since am bus ride, but many others lost things today - so maybe my luck is changing. we have to get up wicked early again tomorrow. lord give me strength. oh, and have mastered pronunciation of "johan" i think. it is harder than you might imagine. will teach dtas peeps on return.

	it's absolutely beautiful.
mountains are called kebnekaise. we saw moose, reindeer and elk from the air. sun came out just for the trip. crazy scenery. only scary when wind kicked up.

	on the bus to the helicopter
after brief lost passport scare (it had fallen behind the bed - probably while i was blgging about losing things), then a quick dash from bus to get charging battery. i don't do soo well with this whoe go-to-a-different-hotel-every-night-with-flights-plus-activities-where-you-can't-carry-a-bag-or-reach-pockets-buried-beneathe-layers thing. man, i feel like tha hyphenated phrase. but it's all worth it. this is definitely an adventure unlike any i have experienced. i'm sure everyone here will be a saab lifer - 3 or 4 of whom are 1st time buyers.

	last day in kiruna
this is the ceiling above my bed. i can't get up. i'm not positive what day it is, but i think it's wednesday. i would pay serious money for twelve hours of sleep. my body aches. we have to put our giant snowsuits on for the helicopter and give up our bags. i'm becoming famous for losing things & dropping things. olaf says i'm the most lost girl he has ever met & not to drop anything off helicopter bc we can't go back for it (unlike on dogsled & snowmobile). was proud last night at dinner bc only list one thing - my glasses, tho only for a sec. ayyyy. must suit up. wish me luck and caffeine.
